Cabernet Sauvignon is Coonawarra's pre-eminent grape variety. Our 2019 vintage is well structured with a palate of rich ripe grape tannins, supported with French oak frame-work. Cassis and plum, cigar box and cocoa. Great presence and complexity.

The Vitulus 19 displays a dark ruby red colour, with hints of green peppercorn and forest floor on the nose. The palate provides fruit intensity, embodying flavours of blackcurrant and light blueberry alongside refreshing dried herbs. High sandy tannins and integrated vanillin oak characteristics provide a long and engaging finish.

Welcome to ED.02 of our Methode Eucalypt. After 2020s raging success, we are so excited to release the next vintage. This trial tests the hypothesis that vineyards amongst gum trees take on some aroma and flavour of Eucalyptus. Grapes were mechanically harvested in close proximity to Red Gums into 1T bins. The resultant wine showed significantly increased Eucalyptus aroma and flavour. This matured into a distinctly Australian Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the environment and place in which it was grown. Balanced minty Or Eucalyptus aromas and flavours add to the Cabernet Sauvignon’s complexity, creating a uniquely Australian wine. It is a wine that expresses terroir in the true sense of the word.

Packed full of mint, blackcurrants, spice and cedary oak, this wine is indicative of how a great the 2004 vintage was. Drinking beautifully now.

The Zema family has a proud history of producing great Coonawarra wines with plenty of regional character. This rich inky offering is redolent of ripe berries with a long satisfying finish.

Petaluma Merlot is medium body with a brick red colour, the superbly perfumed bouquet is a tangle of marzipan, spice, plum and confectionery and is the best nose of the early Petalumas. On the palate, flavours of cherry, plum and spice emerge, with very good depth and complexity.

Leconfield's Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship of Leconfield and a classic Coonawarra Cabernet. Blackcurrant aromas are combined with cedary oak and the palate is laden with sweet berry fruit balanced by fine lingering tannins. Coonawarra is regarded as Australia's premier region for Cabernet Sauvignon. The Reschke properties are located on the famous strip of 'terra rossa' soil in Coonawarra and has been owned by the family for almost 100 years. The fruit selected for Empyrean is the best on their 10.8 acre site and is only made in exceptional years.
