Grant Burge reds always display classic Barossa style. This Shiraz has all the hallmarks with ripe cherry fruit smoky overtones and a good measure of sweet vanillin oak. In recent years has really began to hit its straps and with the last few Barossa vintages being on the warm side, this is a wine for the 'old school' Shiraz lover.

Big and beautiful! This Hewitson Mad Hatter Shiraz has dark plums, chocolate and mocha on the nose; it is rich and fills the palate with textured dark fruits with a hints of oak in the background.

TASTING NOTESThe dark, brooding regional characters of plum, red cherry and liquorice are all to the fore of this wine.The palate is focused and linear, with dark bitter chocolate notes and an elegant long persistent finish. Marananga, centred in the North West quadrant of the Barossa provides some of the Valleys most powerful wines. This iconic label by Yalumba has a proud history from it's first release in 1962. Quite possibly the quintessential Australian Shiraz Cabernet blend, 'The Sig' shows vibrant Barossa aromas of dark fruit and spice and a concentrated palate that is long and deeply flavoured. With the ability to age wonderfully well, The Signature is a deserving part of any wine aficionado's collection.

Fresh blackberry and boysenberry, spice, liquorice, tar and dried herbs. Medium bodied, juicy bramble fruits, crisp boysenberry acidity, salted beef, firm but fine grained drying tannin, and a long fresh meaty herb infused finish.

Elegant and medium bodied, Indigene by Spinifex is a Shiraz Mataro blend typically displaying ripe red and black complemented by forest floor and savoury undertones hinting of the Old World. The fruit is sourced from selected vineyards averaging in age between 60-100 years, providing the blend with impressive intensity and depth of flavour. Following traditional vinification, the wine is aged in seasoned French oak.

The Bishop has the fingerprints of Ben and his father Colin all over it. Ripe, rich, concentrated and supremely complex, the Bishop is the wine for all those full-bodied red fans out there. Ripe liqueur cherries on the nose compete for attention with vanilla, mocha and coffee aromas while the palate is full of sweet berry fruit flavour and a soft, luscious finish that seems to persist for an age. While exuberant and lively when young, the Bishop is known to handle medium term cellaring extremely well and reward any with the patience.
