Woodlands Cabernet Merlot is one of the regions best examples. The Watson brothers are the custodians of a family heritage in Margaret River that continues to this day. The Cabernet Merlot has attractive and complex aromas of dark berry and plum supported by well integrated vanillin oak. An approachable everyday Cabernet – bright, juicy, and youthful with concentrated fruit, fresh tannins and crunchy acidity.

A mid to dark mulberry colour with crimson hues. The nose exhibits a perfume of bay leaf, blueberries, dried sage, earth and dark chocolate. This wine is medium-bodied and elegantly sculptured with fresh acidity, rolling tannins and flavours of raspberries and blueberries, with a twinge of herbs on the finish. A wine that will cellar well for up to 15 years from bottling.

Margaret River Syrah is noteworthy because of its fragrance and attractiveness in its youth. Aromas of juicy black cherries and boysenberries with a grind of black pepper. The palate possesses a fine grained texture comprising of ripe tannin which adds to the structure and depth of the wine.White pepper, black cherries and an eastern mosaic of spices greet on the nose, brought to yield by a soft palate of fleshy tannin and coating red and black fruits.

Always regarded as one of Margaret River's favourite wineries due to the inherant quality. Forester Estate seems to marry beautifully with their value-for-money philosophy. This Cabernet Merlot continues to win wide acclaim due to its dark purple colour and its lifted aromas of raspberries and black forest cake. Rich berry flavours are well balanced by a tight tannin structure typical of quality Margaret River Cabernets. A great Margaret River Shiraz with temperate ripening conditions promoting fruit intensity, richness and fine tannins. The palate is restrained and balanced with flavours of plum and aniseed spice.

Fresh blue fruits with vanilla choc hints and subtle floral notes. Elegant, medium bodied wine displaying berry and plum flavours and a silky smooth finish.

This stunning blend combines Cabernet with its dark fruits, bright cassis, hints of dried herbs whilst the Merlot subtly brings plush blue fruits and warmth, surrounded by supple tannins and neatly integrated oak.

Rich purple/red with a vibrant purple rim. Distinctly Margaret River; driven by aromas of blackberry, plum, bay leaf and a touch of black olive. The Merlot and Malbec add texture, balance, length and a luxurious fragrance to create a seamless and unique red. A dry, warm season was punctuated with a tropical rain event in January. This pushed back harvest and allowed for better balance during ripening. The resultant fruit had wonderful thick skins, incredible concentration and excellent varietal identity. The Cabernet was harvested late-morning, to ensure the fruit reached the winery warm to ensure a healthy, even fermentation. The Merlot and Malbec fruit was harvested during the cool of the early morning so it could be cold soaked on skins for 5 days prior to fermentation. The selectively harvested fruit was fermented over 10 days, with the Merlot and Malbec undergoing partial wild fermentation. The Cabernet remained on skins for 20 days to ensure a beautiful, vibrant colour. All elements were then matured in French oak for up to 15 months. Each individual barrel was assessed to determine which were included in the final blend.
