Formed in 2005, Artisans of Barossa is a group of wine producers with a like-minded approach to winemaking and wine enjoying. This wine is blended from barrels selected by the winemakers from each of their cellars. On the nose, there are aromas of dark plum and chocolate with hints of cardamom pod, clove, aniseed and cracked black pepper. The palate is rich with dark fruits and dark chocolate supported by a long savoury line of gentle tannin. The wine finishes smooth and long in the classic style of great Barossa Shiraz. Enjoy with braised meats or a cheese and charcuterie board.

Double Barrel Shiraz has a full and generous palate with a beguiling mix of sweet red fruits and dark chocolate indicative of its origins as Barossa Shiraz. Subtle toasty vanillin derives from aging in traditional French and American oak wine barrels. The careful use of aged Scotch whisky barrels for finishing has added complex nuances of almond-husks and also softened the dense tannins to yield an incredible smoothness.

Chris Ringland, the man behind such famous names as Three Rivers Shiraz, creates a wine that is made from mature Northern Barossa vines and shows dark mass of concentrated black and blue fruits, laced with sweet mocha and wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture.
