More savoury on the nose than many, Annie's Lane has aromas of apple, lime, bath salts and minerals that add up to beautifully pure varietal intensity. The palate has a good level of richness and plenty of depth, yet it retains balance, vibrancy and zest. A serious regional riesling that deserves some bottle age.

This wine is pale yellow in colour with a light green hue. This is an off-dry style wine, giving off initial aromas of lime, tangy lemon verbena, nectarine and apple lemon, coupled with traces of musk and roses. It is an intricate mix of fruit passion, acidity, sweetness and alcohol where each attribute is in harmony with the other, resulting in a wine with personality and charm. Delicious lime and passion fruit flavours gently run through the palate ending fresh and almost dry due to the acidity, which balances the grape-derived sweetness. A food-friendly ally, this may be taken with the not too spicy Asian cuisine, fresh salads, hard cheese or simple seafood. On its own, it can be enjoyed as a chilled aperitif.

Aromas of freshly cut green apple blend with fennel and vanilla on a complex but restrained nose. The palate bursts with flavours of lime juice and white blossoms. The acid is firm but harmonious and drives the palate long through the finish. The wine finishes with a lovely dryness and feeling of refreshment.

This regional collaboration release, developed in partnership with selected local growers showcases Clare Valley Riesling at its best. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit juice, brown lime and white flowers combine with a lick of mineral and wet slate on the nose. The palate is refreshing, with flavours of grapefruit and citrus rind with a white floral lift. The fruit weight shows the hallmarks of Watervale Riesling with zesty acidity, that gives line but still allows a sense of generosity.

This is as fresh as they come: nashi pear, grapefruit, lemongrass, pineapple… I can imagine fresh, dew-dappled bouquets of herbs, citrusy zest finely grated over the top. Reminds me of the Little Creatures Pale Ale kind of aromatics - resinous and celebratory. Layered too, but instead of getting deeper it gets even more spritely, more exciting and aromatic. The finish is clean and refreshing, the colour has a tinge of pink.

A bright, citrus-charged Clare Valley Semillon. as attractive as a moonlit lakeside walk, This is a very welcome new arrival to our cellars and will offer superb refreshment through the Spring and Summer in particular.
