This wine reflects this perfect synergistic combination of Coonawarra’s trademark finesse and elegance with Wrattonbully’s generosity and power. A medium bodied wine with dark berries meld with raspberry, fruitcake and a hint of vanilla. The wines rich fruit and spice is balanced with subtle oak, and velvety tannins, which combine to deliver an intense, yet elegant finish.

Fresh aromas of pink lady apples and ripe Buerre Bosc pears cascade from the glass. The palate shows green apple and chalky minerality finishing with a soft touch of wild honey. There’s a fleshy tension to the wine from skin contact which is beautifully balanced with crisp varietal acidity.

Semi translucent red to dark red colour with a light brick red tinged hue. Fragrant aromas of dark cherry, rhubarb, dried herbs, brambly cedar, forest floor and spice greet the nostrils. Delicious cherry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours are layered across the palate with a supple feel. Lying beneath are notions of brambly dried herbs, forest floor and spice. Polished tannins with a spicy medium to long finish that’s quite savoury. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 14.1%
