A wine that highlights the bold yet elegant nature of Rioja Tempranillo, Conde de Tresaguas was recently awarded the Gold Medal at the Gilber & Gaillard International Competition. Aromas of ripe blackberries and dark cherries, along with notes of fresh tobacco, vanilla, and cedary oak. With a velvety mouthfeel framing lavours of juicy plum, blackcurrant, and a touch of mocha, this is a fruit-filled, balanced Rioja with a long and satisfying after-taste, offering outstanding value.

The Navarra region is located in the north of Spain, at the Western end of the Pyrenees. This particular wine comes from the Ribera Baja subzone at the southern end of Navarra and is a bright and expressive example of Spanish Tempranillo, full of red fruit and elegant, spicy notes and a rich, plush mouthfeel from a smidge of Merlot in the blend. This new release from renowned Rioja producer Marques de Riscal marks a stylistic evolution in the estates signature style. An atypical crianza from the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, this Tempranillo expresses all its fruitiness and youthfulness, with a moderate presence of wood that provides good balance and persistence. A fresh, fruity wine with a flavour profile reminiscent of red fruits subtly accompanied by aromas of wood, coconut and vanilla. Full on the palate, persistent and with character, a true reflection of the personality of the grapes from this terroir.

Red ripe cherry color with violaceous hues. Intense on the nose, typical aromas of the Tinto Fino can be perceived, such as mature black fruits, blackberry and currant. The subtle oak notes appear in the background. On the mouth its intense with lively tannins, but mature enough to leave a gentle and mellow sensation on the mouth. This wine is balanced and has a persistent acidity.

Valcatrina Tinto has a good concentration on the nose. Rich in aroma with notes of black ripe fruit combined with notes of spices from the ageing in oak barrels. In the mouth it presents good structure with ripe tannins. The aftertaste is rich, elegant and long.

VINEYARDS = Garnacha Tintorera is the most representativegrape of Almansa. Our grapes are carefully selected from the low yield bush vines of over 60 years old and grown at a high altitude of 1090m above sea level on red soil rich in iron oxides upon a layer of calcareous rock. The combination of these elements creates a wine that can enrich the tasting experience beyond the most ambitious expectations.VINIFICATION = Soft stalk stripping. Maceration fermentation for 25 days.
