Church Block first appeared back in 1972 under the watchful eye of Greg Trott who was taken by one of the original vineyards that ran alongside the small Bethany Church, across the road from Wirra Wirra's old ironstone cellars. Over the last 4 decades, Church Block has become one of Australia's favourites with its rich, full-bodied style consisting of swathes of black and blue fruits and a nice, smooth finish that seems to last ever so long for such an affordable red wine.

The Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon has an impenetrable black colour; it is very fragrant with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh tobacco and sweet pepper. The palate is intense and concentrated with a fine structure showing abundant blackberry, cassis, minerals and light toasty oak notes that combine to give a long persistent finish

This Cabernet Sauvignon will impress, with impenetrable mauve and violet hues, it has intense aromas of red berries, sweet blackberry jam, a touch of vanillin oak and Eucalypt characters. Subtle fine velvet tannins marry perfectly with the intense, concentrated palate of ripe blackberries, blackcurrant and well integrated oak to create complexity and depth that persists to a long, flavorsome finish.

Château Le Grand Verdus, with 115 hectares of vineyards, maintains a winery in the heart of the hills of Entre Deux Mers, 20km east of Bordeaux, near Saint-Emilion. Selected from premium vineyard blocks on limetone soils in the Pays d'Oc, close to the Pyreneen mountain slopes. This vineyard is strongly influenced by refreshing breezes and warm sunshine, creating one of the longest growing seasons in the Languedoc region. This exceptional climate and geographical location are a paradise for this world-class varietal. Deep crimson in appearance, with plumy fruit and spicy notes of clove, strawberries and cream, and sweet dark cherries. On the palate it is fresh and juicy with a rich mid-palate and velvety tannins. A very well balanced, fruit-forward Pinot. A crowd-pleaser.

With the knowledge that great wine takes great time, Zonnebloeum hand craft a truly exceptional example of Cabernet Sauvignon here that is overflowing with aromas of thyme, cassis and dark cherry.
