Rock Forest Chardonnay

Rock Forest Vineyard is a cool climate vineyard on granite sand. The grapes are hand picked and fermented in steel vats with minimal intervention. The resulting wine is dry with a perfumed bouquet of melon and pear and a minerality that reflects the location. The flavour includes mild tannins and a hint of honey. A perfect accompaniment to cheese, salad or Asian food. Age characters will start to develop in 2-3 years.

Rock Forest Vineyard is at 800 m in the Central Tablelands near Bathurst. The soil is granite sand which produces a characteristic minerality to the wine. Cold nights produce and intense fruity Sauvignon Blanc which is dry and has a citrus and passionfruit aroma.This is our favourite wine, perfect for lunch or dinner, great with cheese or pasta.
