The Tate family are one of the most famous wine names in Western Australia, especially in Margaret River. It was the Tate family who began Evans & Tate decades ago and today the Tate name is re-born under the Franklin Tate Estates label. Franklin, son of John, has sourced some of the most prestigious vineyard sites in Margaret River and has highly regarded winemaker Rory Clifton-Parks to hand-craft the quality wines, like this traditional Chardonnay.

In the glass: Pale lemon with a green hue. On the nose: Gooseberry, grapefruit and smokey oak aromas. On the palate: Layered and complex with lingering flavour persistence, lovely savoury layers of citrus fruit and faint tropicals, refreshing acidity and obvious yet good quality oak. A deluxe, complex style - one for the oak lovers.

Attractive aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with hints of nougat and talc. The medium weight textural palate displays vibrant flavours of citrus fruits, dried pears and some riper tropical notes. The restrained use of French oak and wild yeast fermentation adds subtle complexity and texture to the palate which finishes with a clean mineral edge.

Clean grapefruit on the nose and palate balanced by crisp, fresh acidity on the finish. This is a classic Margaret River dry white. This enticing Credaro Kinship Chardonnay features a pale straw colour with bright green highlights lurking throughout. The attractive bouquet exudes scents of cashew, citrus, pear, nectarine and white flowers. The palate is soft and medium to full bodied, containing fresh citrus and stone fruit flavours supported by creamy biscuit undertones. These fruit elements integrate with a fine layer of mineral acidity to provide an elegant structure and a captivating climax. With a cellaring potential of 3 to 5 years, this delightful Chardonnay pairs best with vegetable terrines, steamed fish and pastas.

Bunkers Honeycombs Chardonnay is a white varietal which has a pale green colour. Its nose gives off lovely aromas of citrus and stone fruit, while its palate tastes of Chardonnay grapes wrapped in a delicate and creamy mid-palate. The process of oak maturation adds texture, complexity and finesse to the palate, which gets balanced by zingy acidic tinges. Its fruity and persistent climax makes it a wonderful food wine, perfect for casual dinner parties with friends and family! Crabs, prawns, pasta and risottos taste great with this elegant Chardonnay.

No other variety allows the winemaker so much room to move in terms of flavour modification in the winery. In this wine we have used barrel fermentation in 25% new oak puncheons, juice MLF, wild yeast fermentation, yeast lees stirring and some solids inclusion in the ferment.

Chardonnay is our favourite grape and this wine, from Oatley family vineyards at Mudgee, delivers a modern take on the Australian style: full-bodied yet crisp, with citrus and melon fruit flavours. Roast poultry or pork will partner it well.

This Blanc is a crisp straw colour, offering a romantic glow through it when held up to the sunshine or a dinner-time candle. The blend is made with majority Sauvignon Blanc grapes plus a handful of Chenin Blanc. The result is a classic dry white, with enough sweetness to give your taste buds something to dance around. The fruit comes from our Quindalup vineyard and is simply made in a stainless steel tank for freshness.
