Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz Mataro (also known as Mourvèdre) has a history going back to 1960 when Penfolds made a traditional "Burgundy" style. Penfolds have always loved Mataro (Mourvèdre) for its fantastic ability to blend marvelously with traditional South Australian stalwarts like Shiraz. Adding luscious complexity and palate grip, the Bin 2 is aged in older oak to emphasise the spicy savouriness of Mataro (Mourvèdre) that complements the plush richness of Shiraz.

Serrat Shiraz Viognier is a spicy, elegant, cool-climate style, sourced off a small plot of close-planted vines in Yarra Glen. Serrat is the family label of renowned winemaker Tom Carson and his wife Nadège. The fruit is hand-picked, lightly destemmed and co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier in small open fermenters. Following fermentation, the wine is pressed to 500L French oak puncheons for 11 months maturation.

The Tradition Red from Place of Changing Winds marries the elegance of Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir with the robust character of Heathcote Syrah. This blend creates a vibrant, charming red wine, paying homage to the legendary Maurice O’Shea wines of the 1950s and 1960s. Owner Rob Walters combines 40% Pinot Noir from Macedon with 60% Syrah from Heathcote and Harcourt. The wine aged for a year in a mix of large and small neutral oak barrels, finishing in a steel tank and a 600-litre Stockinger cask. This process ensures a bright, perfumed, and juicy wine, that's fruit-focused rather than shrouded in oak. On the palate, Tradition Red is soft, smooth, and effortlessly drinkable. The Pinot Noir offers elegance, while the Syrah adds depth and spice. This blend results in a wine that is both sophisticated and approachable. The Tradition Red is a model for modern Australian red wine, perfect for enjoying now or aging further. It showcases Rob Walters' dedication to creating wines of exceptional character and charm.

Planted in 2007, this 0.8-hectare vineyard is littered with volcanic rocks (hence the name) and lies on the plateau above the De La Terre slope—essentially making it a westerly extension of the Serré vineyard. It was originally planted with various clonal cuttings from Best’s and Tahbilk on a mix of rootstock and own roots. Holmes only uses the Best’s clone in this bottling today and the rest of the site has been grafted over to Chardonnay, giving Bannockburn a close-planted Chardonnay block, named Grigsby after Bannockburn’s long-standing vineyard manager. The fruit was fully destemmed in 2011, wild fermented with indigenous yeast and then spent 12 months in 1/3 new French puncheons and a second year in 5 year old barriques.

Part of Two Hands super-premium, single vineyard range, this classic McLaren Shiraz style has nuanced blueberry, mocha and spice characters. Always made to be plush, rich and smooth, the Lily's Garden never seems to be void of any complexity though. A typically elegant Yarra Cabernet. The nose shows cassis and blackberry aromas with subtle cedary oak and the palate has a silky mouthfeel with sweet berry flavours and a lovely lingering finish.

The concept of blending Shiraz and Viognier was derived from the great French wine region of the Northern Rhône the Côte Rôtie area in particular. Using only the best Eden Valley fruit, this wine by Yalumba is rich in concentrated fruit flavour. Traditionally, the two different grape varieties for this wine have predominately been crushed and fermented together.
