The Linder family established St Hallett Winery in 1944. For over 70 years they have built a reputation as specialists in Barossa Shiraz. The team at St Hallett, headed up by Stuart Blackwell and Toby Barlow, have done a fantastic job with this shiraz, choosing the best grapes from the vineyards to create a wine that is lush with great depth of flavour.

This Shiraz combines flavours of cherry and red berry, aromas of raspberry, spice and chocolate, with soft tannins, to produce an elegant medium bodied wine.

Deep, dark and rich in colour. The nose resonates with bramble, jam, chocolate and sweet spice. On the palate the smooth, rich mouthfeel, is bombarded with berries and vanilla. This is top notch Barossa Shiraz, from a master of his craft.

Grant Burge reds are always distinctively Barossa and this one is no exception. Vibrant colour earthy nose with blackberries and a touch of pepper and a richly flavoured palate with robust tannins.

Generous blue fruits, like mulberries and blueberries, a full and frank Shiraz start. Typical Barossa, generous, flavoursome and super sweet blackberry pie with dark dry chocolate mouth feel. Begins with sweet fruit then tightens up with fine fruit and oak tannin. Great flavour and composition. Sweet spice cuts through and hints of jamminess. Youthful austerity as you would expect from such a classic old school Shiraz but there is also plenty of fineness to the tannin and dark chocolate nuances in the lengthy finish.

An array of red fruits and spiced oak. Light red fruits and spiced oak. Fermentation completed in a stainless steel fermenter for 10 days. Pressed onto 1g/L of French oak (Cuvee Series No.1) chips.
