A true expression of Chardonnay grown at Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley in all its fruitful glory. Intense bouquet is pleasantly fruity with highlights of green pear and clingstone peach accented by the flowery notes of apple blossom against a genteel boisé background. The palate is a rush of citrus and white peach with fresh acidity. Clean, lemon-citrus and Pink Lady apples with a layer of minerality and viscosity. Under the winemaking direction of Michael Brajkovich, MW, the village label is the first tier in the Kumeu River portfolio. From vineyards around the Kumeu area, it is a wild yeast ferment Chardonnay with 100% whole bunch pressing and malo. One third is barrel fermented and the whole package seeks to highlight the white peach and flintiness that makes the area famous.

Colour The colour is a brilliant pale straw with youthful green hues. Aroma A very clean peach and nectarine note comes forward with kaffir lime and fresh cucumber lift. Palate The palate begins with a gentle and delicate melon flavour which grown and fills the mouth with nectarine, mandarin and lime flavours with a fine creamy texture. The finish is long and fruit juicy leaving you wanting more. Food Pairing “Enjoy with roast chicken, light duck and quail dishes, margherita or prosciutto and pizza, tempura prawns and chicken Caesar salad.”

Pale straw with a green hue. Lifted citrus and white peach aromas with hints of honey and subtle oak spice. The palate is rich yet balanced, showing stone fruit, lemon curd and a creamy texture, supported by fresh acidity and fine minerality. Finishes long and smooth with gentle oak influence.

Our Fiano is a modern Australian interpretation of this delicious Italian grape variety. Aromas of honeydew and white peach with hints of citrus blossom and kaffir lime. On the palate we taste an array of complex fruits from white peach and semi dried white nectarine, to white saffron pear and citrus with classic creamy texture that is Fiano. The wine finishes refreshingly dry and crisp. A great partner with salads, seafood, light poultry and a refreshing drink on its own.
