Jacob's Creek Double Barrel Shiraz Cabernet is a finely balanced mixture of ripe dark fruits and fine texture. Finishing in Scotch Whisky barrels has softened the tannin profile whilst adding a slight cherry, crème brûlée edge, due to the heavy toast to the barrels.

The Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made in a riper, more generous style to its peers, yet with enough restraint to display the distinct varietal and regional characteristics. Dark chocolates, violets and notes of liquorice capture the nose, revealing a expansive soft palate layered in berry fruits. Directly from the heart of Eden Valley, the Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the cool climate, high altitude vineyard of Château Tanunda. A concentrated wine with the expected regional characteristics of mint leaves and ripe dark forest berries on the nose. Well framed tannins and acidity balancing with the subtle toasty oak towards a lengthy finish. A great weekday food wine.

Hardys have produced an easy drinking Cabernet, with attractive soft berry flavours which flow easily across the palate and gentle tannins on the finish. Bottled in the larger format 1L bottles, there's now more to go around!

This Clare Valley Cabernet from Taylors shows ample varietal blackcurrant flavour seasoned with some attractive sweet oak. The tannins are firm but nicely in balance.
