Wild raspberry, caperberry and floral spice give way to savoury notes of bresaola and juniper, wrapped in graphite tannins. Light-bodied yet complex, it’s a contemporary expression of Pinot Noir in the Penfolds Collection.

Penfolds Maxs Pinot Noir is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948 - 1975, a legend in Penfolds history. Enticing aromatics, with exotic fruits of the forest leaping from the glass. Raspberry, black cherry, olive tapenade and oolong tea are framed by a subtle char-toast character. Hints of sea spray and a distinct Campari note linger.

Dry rose with a beautiful salmon blush color this wine was barrel fermented with wild yeast. It displays red berry and apricot characters with grip and texture on the palate.

This is a medium coloured pinot noir. The bouquet is fresh, complex and bright with raspberry, cherry and herbal notes. The palate is finely structured and intense, with precision and balance. It has silky, smooth tannins and a lingering finish. Very fine. Limited release of 6977 bottles, individually numbered.i
