The Third Generation series is a modern style Chardonnay, Robert Stein Winery has crafted with the exceptional fruits from Mudgee to create this great expression of the vineyard and regional characteristics in a bottle. With the aromas of grapefruit, peach and citrus, fermentation was 80% in stainless steel tank with high lees contact. The remainder time in older oak undergoing partial Malolactic Fermentation with wild yeast, which adds diversity and complexity to the finish.

A pale straw colour with vivid green hues. Gunflint, almond and lemon zest characterise the aroma. The wine has a steely edged structure and the mid-palate is filled with white peach and oyster-shell flavours. It draws into a long, spicy finish.

Stone fruit notes greet the nose which are then reflected onto the palate that has a length of flavour befitting of a premium Chardonnay.

The Amen Break Chardonnay shows lifted aromatics of fig and pear, complexing reductive elements and a hint of white florals. The palate is very concentrated, with fig, pear, wet stones, and a hint of mealy phenolic at the finish. Acidity is bright and frames the palate beautifully. This is a totally modern, thoroughly authentic expression of cool grown, high altitude Chardonnay.

Quality dry white wine, a blend (cuvée) of the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties with delicate golden colour and a greenish reflection. It exhibits fresh and intense aromas of banana, pear and peach, as well as notes of apple, orange and lemon blossoms with well-balanced acidity and a lingering flavour.
