Crafted by Daniel Chaffey Hartwig and Theo Engela, this wine was fermented in a six tonne open fermenter with seven days skin contact and twice daily pump-overs. Matured in shaved, seasoned French oak hogsheads for 11 months. The 2018 vintage will go down as a classic, great all -round year. Deep red with a purple hue, complex nose of dark berries, dried plum, cinnamon, cardamom and sweet oak. A bright and rich, medium bodied wine displaying flavours of forest fruits, tobacco, game, sweet spice and subtle toasty oak. The palate is framed by fine tannins, leading the generous palate to a juicy, lingering finish.

A bigger wine than what you might expect from Margaret River. It's power is not without balance however, and those that prefer a rich red need look no further.Inky red purple.
