Forrest Estate now have vineyards in premium Otago and Gimlett Gravels but grapes for Field of Stones Sauvignon are pure Marlborough, grown on the very stony soil adjacent to the Forrest winery, hence the name ‘Field of Stones’. The fruit is harvested in the cool of the night and early morning to maximise the mineral freshness and the lemon thyme, elderflower and guava flavours. Bring on the seafood platter!

The fruit for this Squealing Pig Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from vineyards near the Awatere River in Marlborough. Light straw with a green hue. The nose is bursting with punchy tropical fruit and fresh herbs. The palate is bright and refreshing with layers of green pineapple and passionfruit. Tangy citrus notes lead to a focused finish and delicious minerality.

A clean-cut and appealing Sauvignon with good concentration of passionfruit characters. The palate takes sturdy passionfruit flavour and really digs it in deep through the finish. Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine making. On the nose, this Sauvignon has characters of elderflower and white currant with ripe tropical and citrus fruits. These follow on the palate, which is fine and soft with vibrant, fleshy fruit, balanced by ripe, juicy acidity and lingering minerality.
