Displays classic Chardonnay characters of white peach, nectarine and fresh figs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fruit flavours of citrus and white peach. Maturation in French oak provides subtle nutmeg and clove characters on the palate, while a clean slatey acid backbone provides length and structure to the wine. The wine is complex with no single character dominating the wine. The flavour of the wine persists long after it has left the mouth.

Mountadam can boast being the “foremost producer of chardonnay in the Eden Valley” (Halliday), but their deeply layered, textural and complex reds are also creating great excitement amongst the trade. "A morass of mulched leaf, anise and black currant, dabbed with olive. A lovely, energetic feel, finishing with verdant cigar box tannins and a whiff of mint to menthol. Tapanappa is defined by its "distinguished site" philosophy. Late harvested at the end of the March, the riesling fruit was vintaged in the fastidious fashion that has been developed over the past three decades. Tapanappa Eden Valley Riesling 2022 is a pure expression of a unique terroir. Typical of Eden Valley Riesling, the Tapanappa Riesling is very floral with some citrus blossom aromas. There is also the faint and delicate aroma of tea rose and a hint of jasmine. The floral bath-powder aromas are quintessential Riesling varietal character. The palate weight is fine and delicate and despite the late picking almost austere, with a mouth-watering acid finish and lingering fruit sweet flavour.
