This is WORLD CLASS Cabernet and sits among the very best! Vasse Felix's signature bay leaf in a profoundly high quality bath of tightly packed blackberry & black currants. Fantastic length and cellaring potential!

It has a lovely bouquet of white peach and pear with hints of honey and nougat. This chardonnay is 100% wild fermented and matured in French oak for nine months. The palate is soft with fresh tropical fruit flavours, finishing with citrus and chalky minerality. All three parcels were hand-picked on the same day and chilled overnight. The following day the grapes were tipped as whole bunches directly into our press and gently pressed off into a tank. Natural settling occurred overnight and the cloudy juice was then sent to French oak barrels twenty-four hours later. Wild fermentation was completed in a barrel and allowed to mature on its own lees for nine months, with minimal stirring during this time, to maintain freshness and natural acidity. Embers Sauvignon Blanc Semillon shows plenty of varietal fruits in the kiwi fruit, lemon grass, passionfruit and lime spectrum. Semillon's citrus and floral notes are complemented by the tropical passionfruit aromatics of Sauvignon Blanc. Cool nights, a hallmark of the vintage, has harnessed plenty of fresh, crunchy fruits and wonderful crisp acidity. The Embers Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is a versatile wine that could be enjoyed as an aperitif or with almost any modern food of your choice.

Voyager Estate in the Margaret River seem to have a mortgage on this style! An attractive herbal edge on the nose is supported by a lemony/minerally palate with terrific acid and length.

This wine clearly demonstrates why Margaret River is considered one of the best regions in the country for Sauvignon Blanc. A very varietal and well made wine.Pale lemon yellow. Lemongrass, passionfruit, gooseberry and pea pod. Tight and bright, zesty and juicy with a punchy mix of varietal fruit, structural balancing acidity, mouth-watering texture and a long, juicy finish. Really opens up in the glass.

The current release of the Fire Gully Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is a superb exampe of the blend. Complex and interesting with fascinating oyster shell aromatics, intense pure white tropical flavours with schisty minerally notes: powerful, vibrand and tangy, finishing fresh and zesty. Irresistible summer drinking.

This Margaret River Sauvignon from the "formidable partnership" (Halliday) of Byron & Harold is "an intriguing mix of the herbal and tropical..."(WinePilot) and "fabulously aromatic..." with "terrific fruit intensity" (Wine Orbit). The fruit here is a combination from two vineyards, one in the north of the Margaret River region and the other close to Augusta in the south. Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 92pts – “Any overt tropical fruit flavours are pared back so this reveals more white stone fruit and citrus – from lemon, lime and grapefruit to makrut lime leaves. There’s a hint of white pepper and coriander seeds with plenty of fresh herbs and bright acidity.92pts.”
