This Limoncello has a strong taste of lemon flesh at first, with a heavy dose of lemon oil. Notes of lime zest and juniper come on strongly as a complementary note. The juice and essential oil complexities add some intrigue, suggesting lemon curd and key lime meringue pie; a hint of creamy custard comes on towards the finish.Limoncello is traditionally served chilled as an after-dinner digestive in a chilled cordial glass. Our Grenache Gin is the spirit of wine country, the perfect union of freshly pressed grape juice and gin. Grenache grapes grown in the McLaren Vale region are crushed and then added to our Triple Juniper Gin and allowed to steep.The result is a gin with a luminous red colour that develops into a bright hibiscus pink when diluted with tonic or soda.Flavour wise, Grenache is incredibly versatile. Its flavours bounce between bright raspberry and candied peel all the way through to dark plum and cinnamon, making it the perfect compliment to the spice and citrus of the Triple Juniper gin.This gin is perfect just on ice, with a splash of tonic or even squash. The West Winds Gin story began back in 2009 when two mates (James Clarke and Paul 'The Doctor' White) hatched a plan to create unique styles of Australian gin using local and imported botanicals that would be cut with triple filtered Margaret River rain water. Within a month of launching, The West Winds had already made a strong impression on the gin world, winning numerous accolades at the 2011 San Francisco International Spirit Awards. 'The Sabre' - a Gold medal winner from said awards - presents a traditional British style gin led by underlying citrus and a dominance of juniper, followed by the classic coriander seed.
