Good flesh here though; medium-bodied, good weight and sweep of acidity with a crispness to the finish 95, 96 clone Chardonnay from two vineyards, one in Red Hill and one in Tuerong. Barrel ferment, lees stirred. 20% MLF. 15% new French oak. 10 months in the barrel. Sam, Kaspar and Will pick the fruit on the up-curve (i.e. crux of flavour and freshness) bearing in mind the warmer side of the Mornington Peninsula is part of the equation here.
Wedgetail Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay
This is a classic Yarra Valley Chardonnay from the Wedgetail estate, elegant, generously and voluptuous in style. It offers aromas of citrus, cashews, pear and a hit of vanilla. The mouth fill is full and satisfying with a crisp finish. Drinking beautifully now, and if well cellared will age gracefully for the next 5 to 8 years.

The aromas of pineapple, white peach, nectarines and melon start the senses. On the palate you will also taste rockmelon, white peach and tropical fruits. This wine has a long length of flavour and a creamy mouth feel, finishing with elegant acidity.

The wine is pale straw in colour with a green tinge looking youthful and fresh, this wine shows classic Yarra Valley regional and varietal aromas of white peach, with subtle elegant French oak interweaved with subtle complex yeast notes. The palate is a sophisticated medium body Chardonnay being a true reflection of the cooler 2020 vintage. There is a fresh but delicate clean acid line, integrated with savour secondary winemaking attributes of oak and yeast autolysis. The wine has a clean extended finish.

Paringa Estate Estate Chardonnay Mornington Peninsula The fruit for the Estate Chardonnay is sourced from low yielding estate vineyards, some of which are over thirty years old. Constant attention to detail in the vineyard and vine maturity produces fruit of outstanding quality. The fruit is handpicked, whole-bunch pressed, and the unclarified juice is fermented in new (approx 30%) and one-year-old French oak puncheons and barriques.
