This is the third vintage of Ballewindi Chardonnay that Sandro Mosele from Kooyong has produced exclusively for us, and he certainly hasn't dropped the ball. Another cracking Chardonnay that proves he is the master of Mornington. Sandro uses whole bunches and barrel fermenting before letting the wine spend 10 months in French oak. There's peach, fresh sweet hay, subtle notes of cream and honeydew melon on the nose. The palate balances ripe stone fruit flavours with hints of citrus and a creamy texture. It's delicate yet rounded, and is a leading light for modern Aussie Chardonnay.

Troy Payten and Ben Jones are making wines with soul & personality out of the Yarra Valley. They have a tremendous passion for wine, something that can be found in every glass of their wines. Fruit comes from Tarrawarra and is handled with all the classic chardonnay techniques. Oak maturation, malolactic fermentation and long lees contact. The result is a flinty style with notes of toast and whipped cream. Yum!

Brilliant pale straw colour with tints of green to the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, white peach and dried honey have a light toast overlay. Delicate citrus and cashew notes are also evident. Fleshy nectarine and white peach flavours line the elegant mid weighted palate with notions of dried honey and faint cashew lying underneath. Finishes with good freshness and a refined aftertaste. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Alc. 12.5%

A new single-site Chardonnay into the Mac Forbes range, the Yarra Junction is a more generous Chardonnay from this leading Yarra producer.

Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Peach, apricot and honeysuckle aromas drift out of the glass followed by some ginger and spiced pear notes. Light in body but fleshy in its feel the palate features pear, peach and apricot fruits over a delicate honeysuckle and ginger spice back drop. Fresh acidity finishing supple and elegant. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 13%

A stunning Sauvignon Blanc from the pristine Yarra Valley. Aromas of jasmine, caperberry, rock melon, spearmint, tangelo, and almond biscotti with a subtle savoury undercurrent of bayleaf and flinty complexity. The palate is deep, long, and flavourful with tight lines of Golden Delicious apple, lemon verbena and petrichor tones washing over a refreshing base of integrated acidity. A versatile wine that pairs harmoniously with a range of dishes including light salads and seafood dishes. Grapes were whole-bunch pressed. Juice settled overnight, then coarsely racked to oak foudre for fermentation. The resultant wines were aged on settled lees with minimal stirring. 100% malolactic fermentation was undertaken on a select number of barrels for enhanced richness and complexity. This wine is suitable for vegans.

This debut release marks an exciting step for Giant Steps and winemaker Mel Chester. With the Circle of Fifths Chardonnay, Mel and the team wanted to capture the character of the Yarra Valley in one glass. Blended from their renowned single vineyards - Tarraford, Sexton, Primavera, Applejack, and Bastard Hill - this wine gives you a snapshot of the season rather than focusing on a single site. It’s made with the same care and precision as the single vineyard wines: whole bunch pressed, wild fermented in French oak puncheons (15% new), and left on full lees until bottling for extra depth and texture. The 2024 season was all about balance - moderate yields, bright acidity, and vibrant fruit. The wine brings together citrus and stone fruit notes, with just a hint of oak spice in the background.
