A vibrant purple hue in the glass. Brooding but fleshy aromatics are laced with an herbal spice note. Tannins are prominent but don’t dominate – cherry pip flavours wash over the mid palate. A savoury finish with an immense length and persistence. This wine will blossom with some bottle age.

Hand-picked from the top section of the 1891 Ancestor Vine block, the fruit was fermented in a two-tonne open fermenter and the skins were hand plunged three times a day. At sugar dryness the wine was drained off and the skins pressed. The resultant wine was transferred straight to barrel and matured for nearly two years in one new and two older French oak barriques. Elegant, restrained and poised. A wine of integrity and finesse. Red fruits following on the palate, fine French oak char and fine grain tannins.

John Duval, famously known as the craftsman of the mighty Penfolds Grange, continues to further forge his reputation as a maker of great Shiraz. 'Eligo' from the latin: 'To pick out, select or choose or choose the best' is the flagship wine of the John Duval stable with its main aim to produce a Shiraz with structure and an elegant expression of its terrior. Multi layered with lashes of dark berry fruit, the wine is intense yet still quite restrained. An excellent Barossan Shiraz!

Meshach William Burge was Grant's great grandfather and was a central figure in establishing the Burge family in the Barossa Valley. This Shiraz named in his honour is sourced from old vines, some nearing 100 years old, and shows aromas and flavours of complex swiss chocolate, savoury spices and red currant. Grant Burge's flagship shiraz will reward the patient cellarer with 20 years in the bottle in front of it.

Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is produced from a single vineyard at Coriole, planted in 1919 by Geoffrey Kay. It was first retained as a separate wine in 1989, and is one of Langton's Classified Wines of Australia. This vineyard typically produces a wine of great intensity and can be cellared for many years. The wine is matured in French oak with typically about 40% new.

Winemaker Elena Brooks has a unique ability to heighten the aromatic power and flavour of Grenache, and this wine is her pinnacle release of the variety.Bright medium to deep ruby. Seductive florals, strawberry, violets, raspberry jube and rose petal. An amalgam of gentle flavours with sweet cherry and strawberry, over satin-soft tannins with superb length. We have dated our family tree back to 1471, where Paolo Curtis started wine production on the original Curtis family property “la cavata” near cassino, central Italy. We made this wine to commemorate the sacrifice & toil of centuries of hard work that have led us to now. This Shiraz fruit was hand-picked from 80-year-old vines, gently destemmed & cold soaked on skins for 14 days, Fermented slowly for a further 14 days. Giving time to allow slow extraction of colour & silky tannins. This extra time allows the wine to develop a great depth of flavour & palate structure. The ferment is slowly pressed straight into a mixture of French & American oak barrels The magic happens over the next 24 months where the wine will develop and integrate into a special montage of flavourful delights. aromas of ripe red berries, vanilla & Coconut. Full-Bodied palate structure with a complex mix of flavours, Ripe red berries, coconut, chocolate & spice. Great middle palate sweetness with well-integrated oak characters. well balanced & long silky tannin finish.
