Grapes from Marlborough have produced a crisp Chardonnay with flavours of citrus, nectarine and pineapple and a lovely toasty finish.

Stoneleigh Lighter Sauvignon Blanc is a full-flavoured wine that is naturally lighter in alcohol. This wine presents uplifted aromas of pink grapefruit, yellow capsicum and splashings of passionfruit. The palate presents fresh citrus flavours bound with stone fruit and passionfruit. This is a very versatile wine that can be matched with raw oysters, mussels or clam dishes. Equally good would be a fresh Caesar salad topped with smoked chicken. Famous for their popular and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc, Giesen produce an enticing and pure Riesling from the same region, Marlborough. Displaying notes of citrus, white flowers and ginger on the nose, this attractive off-dry Riesling shows subtle sweet flavours of lemon curd, mandarin and orange peel. Those flavours are then balanced beautifully with a structured acid backbone and minerality that keeps the succulent flavours dancing on the palate for an age.

It's little surprise that her Sauvignon Blanc shines, with its pristine and delicate mineral drive backed up with some fresh green herb and tropical notes. Crisp, dry and very Moorish.

ISABEL ESTATE Pinot Gris, Marlborough Isabel Estate was established in Marlborough in 1980 and has some of the oldest vines in the region. Its Wairau Valley location receives the full benefit of extended sunshine hours combined with a long, relatively cool growing season. Yields are restricted by pruning to low bud numbers and, where necessary, shoot and bunch thinning ensures that fruit quality is fully optimised. The Isabel Pinot Gris style focuses on fruit purity and classic pear, elderflower and chalky mineral flavours. As leading New Zealand wine writer Bob Campbell MW says, Isabel Estate Pinot Gris is: Made in an off/dry style but with enough acidity to generate a fairly dry finish. Lovely wine.

Native & Ancient explores the interaction between microbiology and human intervention, of man and nature, through a series of natural wines. The grapes for this wine are organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc sourced from Block 4 on the Isabel Estate Vineyard. The wine style, Pet Nat or Petillant Naturel translates to naturally sparkling and is achieved by bottling the wine while it is still fermenting. The wine is made in as natural a way as possible, harking back to ancient winemaking techniques, it is unfined and unfiltered with no added sulphites. A great way to kick off your weekend BBQ, refreshing, lightly sparkling, lots of ripe tropical fruit. A real fruit salad of flavours followed by a textural slightly biscuity finish. Delicious.
