For nearly a decade, Shaun and Liz have been producing award winning wines for a number of the Hunter Valley’s most successful brands. The 2013 vintage marked the first of Silkman Wines, since then they have received numerous awards, most notably in the 2016 James Halliday Wine Companion where they were awarded 5 Stars as well as being named among the 10 Best New Wineries in Australia.Their Chardonnay is long and elegant with notes of citrus and creamy mouthfeel delivering a wine with great persistence and body.

A very appealing yellow/green tinted colour. Tropical aromas with plenty of primary fruit as a young wine. Minimal oak influence, of which adds a slight bran meal note. More tropical fruit on the palate, balanced by bright zesty acidity. An excellent and flavoursome Chardonnay.

Entirely sourced from Tyrrell's famous HVD vineyard. These dry grown blocks were planted in 1984 and 2003 and together they produce a modern style that has both richness and finesse.

From a historic vineyard on the banks of the Hunter River, widely regarded as the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine. The 2021 lures you in with spicy pineapple, peach and green mango aromas. A melding of tangy lemon and cashew nut flavours fill the palate, with crisp acidity giving a refreshing finish. Richness without high alcohol. In the glass: Vibrant pale yellow. On the nose: Ripe melon fruit and vanillin oak. On the palate: Shows clean stonefruit intensity with pineapple and tropical depth, lovely oak harmony, creamy flavour balance, juicy acidity and a grapefruit-like cut on the finish.

Scarborough Yellow Label Chardonnay is sourced from fruit grown on the winery's rich Terra Rossa soil. This helps produce a Chardonnay that is rich and mouth filling with creamy, buttery flavours. Having being left of lees for a minimum of 12 month and going through 100% Malo fermentation, this Hunter Valley Chardonnay is one for those who love an 'old-school' Chardonnay.

These Chardonnay grapes were grown using sustainable organic practices. The 2017 vintage had a cool year start with a very hot finish allowing the grapes to ripen with lots of flavour and natural acidity. The harvest produced quite small berries which resulted in very intense flavours. About 30% of the wine was matured in oak barrels for up to 4 months and then blended with the balance of the batch.

Pooles Rock Chardonnay gives refreshing zesty flavours, lime juice, lemon zest, lemon grass, green melon, kiwi fruit with a lingering mineral line down the palate, a fresh mouth-watering aftertaste.

Lovely bright expression of old-vine Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Whole bunch pressed, taking only free run and light solids into concrete and large format French oak. Cirtus, cashews and creaminess from partial malolactic fermentation. Margan's white wines are some of the Hunter's best and their Chardonnay is right up there.
