Great Hunter Semillon should be a must on any oenophiles agenda, especially when it's produced by one of our finest producers, home to some of Australia's most awarded wines. This newly released single vineyard Semillon has already been awarded two gold medals and 96 points rating from James Halliday (2013 Edition). It's vibrant and youthful in style and glistens with a seamless exhibition of bright citrus, gentle stone fruit and honeyed nuances.

Lifted nose of citrus and nectarine with slight hints of hazelnut. Classic nectarine & citrus carry onto the palate with bright fruit intensity balanced by natural acidity and length. Delicate hints of lifted hazelnut notes are delivered by 9 months in puncheons & barriques; this is a fine & elegantly structured Chardonnay.

The grapes used to craft this wine were hand-picked in late January from Majors Lane Vineyard. De Iuliis Single Vineyard Semillon is a pale lime green-hued wine with an alcohol level of 10.5%. The lifted nose exudes floral and zesty citrus aromas while the palate is crisp and clean with citrus flavours, balanced by an innate mineral acidity that leads to a lingering finale. With a cellaring potential till 2021, this vibrant wine is a great match for seafood and roasted chicken with orange and thyme.

A very appealing yellow/green tinted colour. Tropical aromas with plenty of primary fruit as a young wine. Minimal oak influence, of which adds a slight bran meal note. More tropical fruit on the palate, balanced by bright zesty acidity. An excellent and flavoursome Chardonnay.

The love affair with alternative Italian varietals continues at David Hook wines. Pecorino is a new arrival, but it was well worth the wait. So latent yet complex.Very pale with a silver fleck. Grapefruit pith, yellow apple and almond aromas. Light-bodied yet very expressive with a bright mix of white and yellow fruit, an underlying nutty layer, mouth-watering acidity and a touch of talc-like grip.

The Italian grape, Fiano, is one of Australia's key alternate grape varieties. It is perfectly suited to the climate of the Hunter Valley. An unwooded style, the wine has intense varietal characteristics with aromas of pear and spice. The palate is perfectly balanced between fruit intensity and textural elements from the solids ferment, with a brisk acidity. A food friendly wine ready for immediate enjoyment. Entirely sourced from Tyrrell's famous HVD vineyard. These dry grown blocks were planted in 1984 and 2003 and together they produce a modern style that has both richness and finesse.

Vintage 2021 Region Hunter/Hilltops, NSW. This year's wine is inspired by the classic Alsatian white wines of France, wines that are fruit driven and often a sweet touch. A blend of Semillon, Riesling and Arneis produces a foral driven nose, middle palate sweetness with a crisp citrus finish. A perfect match for cheese and fresh seafood. Drink well chilled.
