St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

Wafting from the glass are potent scents of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and cigar box trailed by some black olive, earth and spicy dried herb notes. Medium bodied the palate is filled with rich blackcurrant fruit which overlays a back drop of liquorice, cigar box, black olive and spicy dried herb characters. Earthworks celebrates the toil and persistence of the founding generation of winemakers and viticulturists from the Barossa. The new Succession range, observes the importance of lineage, custodianship and community. The wine reveals deep garnet and ruby hues on the eye. A nose of coffee grounds, cocoa powder, sage bush and brambled blueberry gives way to violets, smoked white spice, roasted coconut and cedar wood. On the palate the wine has fruit sweetness wrapped around lengthy, chalky tannins and touches of moreish olive tapenade to finish.
