Domaine Asmara, located in the heart of central Victoria where the Cambrian rich soil dominates the Heathcote wine region, showcases the very best of modern Australian Shiraz. They produce wines just like this Reserve Shiraz that is both complex and flavoursome. 'Asmara' translated from Indonesian to means 'Love & Passion' - a character than is intrinsic in this boutique Shiraz.

Wild Duck Creek Springflat Shiraz

Wild Duck Creek is a true icon of the Heathcote wine region. From its inception in 1980, it was 11 years until they released wine under the Wild Duck Creek label; such was their desire for quality. Springflat is an assault on the senses, loads of fruit, spice and oak; it is a wine for savouring, contemplation and a fine piece of meat.

Heathcote Winery Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz

Big and bold with lots of structure and layers of brooding dark fruit that lead into a lingering mocha finish.

Domaine Tournon Lady's Lane Vineyard Shiraz

Appearance: deep ruby colour. Nose: redcurrant, leather, red crushed berries with a hint of toffee. Palate: this is a powerful and generous wine expressing itself with delicacy thanks to a very delicate tannic structure. Intense flavors of ripe fruits and spices combined to a fine acidity a hyphen between richness and strength reflecting perfectly the terroir of Heathcote.

Wild Duck Creek Estate Duck Muck

Tyrrells Old Hut Shiraz

Ripe raspberry, some exotic spice and earthiness, maybe some boysenberry. Medium bodied here, with a good amount of earthy raspberry flavour, a layer of spice, perky acidity and a little grip from tannin. Runs out nicely on the finish, and feels pretty satisfying to drink. I like this. Character plus. More to come too, I expect. Alcohol: 13.5%. Closure: screwcap. Date tasted: Jun 2017. Drink: 2019-2029. Price: $50. Rating: 93+/100.

Premium Heathcote Shiraz

Wine has been matured in quality oak for 24 months, resulting in dense rich color of ripe blackberry fruit. A subtle oak aroma, leading to a firm tanin structure which is full bodied and robust. Enjoy with hearty meals.
