Balanced and elegant tannins, nicely integrated oak, gives the wine balance and structure. Ø WINEMAKING Each parcel of fruit is gently crushed and transferred into small open fermenters. Heading down boards keep the cap submerged for better skin contact. The fermenters are temperature controlled to provide optimum conditions. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over. Wine is then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for maturation. Stave and chip treatment with micro oxygenation for 16 months. Ø TYPICAL ANALYSIS 14.5 % Alcohol Ø FOOD MATCHING Barbecued meats, steak, chocolate, Szechuan cooking and venison.

Atticus Syrah

Hand Picked- Matured for 18 months in French oak (50%new). Brilliant crinmson-purple; a very complex wine on the bouquet and medium to full-bodied palate alike; the new oak certainly plays role, but it's the spice black fruit and fine tannins that build the perfect platform for a wine with avery long future.

Still very youthful, the quality French oak riding high in the saddle. This is a wine of excellent quality, ticking every box. Its texture and balance are admirable, the varietal character likewise.
