The Exception Shiraz 2004 is full and round with aromas of plums, spice and cedary oak, plus a hint of tobacco adding complexity to the palate. It is well balanced, with a long finish and bears a deep rich crimson colour.

This wine is the baby sister to Ulithornes Frux Frugis Shiraz. It is a wine that celebrates the elegance & intensity of flavours that old bush vine Shiraz can bring to the table. With spice & ripe cherries on the nose, driving length of blood plums and an elegantly weighted palate, the flavours are balanced with soft tannins. Dark garnet in colour with ripe black jammy fruits, dry spices and wet leaves on the nose. A mouth-filling tannins and great fruit and acidity balance on the palate. A rather savoury and lingering finish.

This hand made wine is both complex and rewarding having no filtration prior to bottling to preserve the rich plum and spicy fruit flavours. All fruit was estate grown and sourced from low yielding, hand pruned and picked vines.

The bouquet and palate show an intense mixture of ripe berry fruits combined with vanilla and spice overtones whilst fine grained, integrated tannins add further complexity.
