Single cask malt whisky from Overeem in Tasmania aged in a French Oak Sherry quarter cask. This smaller cask leads to greater interaction between wood and liquid during maturation and results in a more intense whisky.

Aged 4yrs in American Oak ex Makers Mark barrels, our Single Malt Bourbon Cask brings rum and raisin aromas with a subtle vanilla and a spiced herb oak undertone. A delightfully perfumed nose speaking of traditional botanicals playing gracefully with the distillers choice of fruits. A sweet mouth filling gin, without revealing too much. Opening up to be a beautifully balanced palate of fruity gin. The palate gently slips into an exceptionally satisfying finish lingering and continuing to give up its secrets.The perfect martini and cocktail gin.

Tasting notes courtesy of Mark Nicholson Colour: Dark copper Nose: Caramel & raisins Palate: Lifted floral notes, caramel and dried fruit sweetness with some white pepper savory hints Finish: Delicious long and slightly dry finish which is indicative of some very fine old wood. A slightly smokey note that suggests peat but comes from the heavy cask charring.

This single malt whisky was matured in a 100 litre French Oak, ex-Sherry cask. It is dark in colour, rich & bold on the palate & offers hints of spice, nuts, dark chocolate & dried fruits. It is just one of a series of handcrafted whiskies from the Overeem Distillery.
