The first impression of the wine is of a generosity, softness and concentration. One has the sensation of biting into juicy, ripe fruit and blood orange, it is a fabulous aromatic explosion with luscious and slightly tangy overtones. The concentrated and dense body takes over and reinforces the impression of substance, of concentrated liqueur on the mid-palate. A prestige limited edition and award winning cuvée from Charles Orban Champagne growers since 1770. This limited edition cuvée was created to celebrate The Who's 50th anniversary and Daltrey's career as a singer and actor, spanning more than 50 years. The Roger Daltrey cuvée represents a perfect expression of the three grape varieties grown in Champagne - Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir (45%) and Pinot Meunier (15%). The grapes are sourced mainly from the Vallee de la Marne from the 2012 harvest, with 20% of reserve wines.

The blend is 100% Chardonnay from various years (20 to 25% of which are reserve wines from the 2 previous years). A large majority of Premiers Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards for aromatic refinement, supplemented by Sézannais wines known to provide maturity. Finally, several wines from the north of the Vesle valley give a light, fresh touch.
