The Taylor family were really inspired by the great wines of Bordeaux, particularly the long lived Cabernet Sauvignons. So with this in mind, Mitchell Taylor expressed a desire to his chief winemaker that Taylors craft an extraordinary wine that represented the utmost refinement of this noble grape and truly embodied his grandfather's original vision.

This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was meticulously crafted, aged for eighteen months in a blend of oak barrels—48% new and 52% older French and American oak. It opens with inviting aromatics of violet, dark fruit, tobacco, subtle baking spice, and earthy dried herbs. The impressively beautiful and concentrated Wendouree Shiraz Malbec is an authentic Clare Valley style harking back to late 19th-century winemaking traditions. Vinified in open stainless steel lined fermenters and matured for 12 months in new (20%) and seasoned French oak, it is typified by voluminous blackberry, plum and mulberry fruit, a touch of eucalypt, fine, rusty and persistent tannins, and plenty of lasting power.
