These premium rums are then aged for a total of 6 years in oak vats until they reach their peak. This extra time ageing adds richness and balance to the classic Bundaberg character, like all special Bundaberg Rums is perfect to be enjoyed neat or with your favourite mixer.

Gosling's Black Seal Rum has a rich, intricate flavour, well balanced and nuanced with butterscotch, vanilla and caramel. Black Seal includes products of both pot stills, as used in fine Cognacs, and continuous stills, as used in grappa. One imparts flavour, the other yields a subtle elegance. Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a blend of 20 per cent light column distilled rums with 80 per cent pot still rums aged up to 12 years, a proportion of which are rums from exceptional barrels which are used in Master Blender Tito Cordero's secret preparation. Although he won't reveal the ages of the rums used he has disclosed that he mixes these exceptional rums with a little cane sugar prior to blending with the main body of rums to amplify their flavour so they impart a slight touch of sweetness and a distinctive flavour to the finished rum.

The essence of Plantation Rum Original Dark is the wealth of its palate and technique of double ageing. It comprises the elegant Rums of Trinidad which are distilled then aged in their tropical climate in the Caribbean in American oak barrels under high heat before travelling to France. Once in Europe, the House cellar master decides on less high esters for the Trinidadian rum and blends in old rums from Jamaica (15 - 20 yrs.) This end result adapts beautifully to classic dark rum cocktails.
