Multi Trophy-winning Sam Trimboli must be one of the country's most in-demand winemakers. But after 30-odd years working for other wineries, he took the big step of setting up on his own in 2018 – and, being an old friend of ours, we backed him every step of the way. In return, Sam creates some excellent wines just for us, most have become bestsellers. We suspect this cracking white will shortly join them.

The Shiraz is sourced from our Cookoothama Vineyard on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point in the Riverina. Complex aromas of ripe berry and spice. Full-bodied wine displaying elegant tannins and powerful fruit concentration with a well-structured palate of dark cherry and blackberry melded with earthy overtones and well-integrated oak.

Fresh lifted aromas of lemon, lime, guava and pineapple. On the palate, zesty flavours of lemon, lime and grapefruit with a small portion of Semillon adding complexity and mouth feel before leading to a crisp dry finish.

Lifted aromas of ripe peach, nectarine and cantaloupe and mixed spice with toasty notes. On the palate, complex flavours of ripe peaches and cream with lively nectarine, biscuit and yeast notes and mineral like acidity.

A vibrant blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and other red varietals, yellow tail Jammy Red is packed with aromas of forest fruits, strawberries, and cream. Juicy redcurrant and raspberry flavours, slight minerality expressing stone fruit and citrus notes perfectly balanced with subtle creaminess and a crisp natural acidity.
