As ever a distinguished wine, with a particular texture engendered by its citrussy acidity: the heavy lifting is provided by the immaculate white peach and pink grapefruit of a palate that is intense yet delicate, delicacy stemming from the way the wine flows through the mouthfeel and long finish.

Eileen Hardy was the Hardy family matriarch, an indomitable spirit and the first lady of Australian wine; her love of life still echoes through every Hardys wine and provides the inspiration to be the best. Winemakers select only the very best handpicked parcels of fruit from regions throughout Australia to carry the Eileen name. This is the first production of Eileen Hardy Pinot Noir since 2014 and demonstrates the strength of both the vintage in Tasmania as well as the fruit resource.

CLOTILDE DAVENNE 1er Montmains Clotilde Davenne wines come from the village of Courgis, right next door to her winery in Prehy. Montmains is considered one of the best 1er Cru vineyard sites. The soil is peppered with shards of fossilised oyster shells, which lend the wine its vibrant mineral notes and chalky aromas. This is a lean, crisp, steely wine, with citrus fruits on the palate and bright fresh acidity.

Olivier Leflaive was co-manager of Domaine Leflaive until 1994 before withdrawing to concentrate on his own venture which he started in 1985. Today the domaine produces wine from some 65 appellations with 85% of the production being white wine. One of Burgundys most respected producers the estate produces a number of domaine wines from its own vineyards alongside its range of negocé bottlings. This Chardonnay is a wine with a fine aromatic intensity of almond, hazelnut, apple and a nice balance between smoothness and freshness on the palate.
