William Bulling was the first to stumble upon gold in the McIvor-Heathcote area. His accidental find afforded him a legendary name and started the rush of 1852 that lasted ten years, creating many a rich man. An area known for fulfilling the dreams of its fortune seekers, the Heathcote region with its rich Cambrian soils once abundant with gold are now home to some of the country's most loved wines. Much like this classic Shiraz, with layers of red fruits, opulent liquorice and black cherry fruit with a powerful vanilla cedar oak finish.

Schioppettino is a fairly obscure variety even back in its homeland, but there has been a resurgence of planting in the last 30+ years turning it around to be almost cult like. The nose shows bright juicy blackberry, raspberry and blood plum, savoury earth showing its Heathcote roots, slightly smoky with vanilla and liquorice spice. While smelling rich and intense, it's medium bodied with fine sandy tannins and a crunchy finish.

Aromas with sour cherry, raspberry fruit characters and herbal notes on the palate. It finishes with clean, crisp acidity and chalky tannins. A perfect complement to Italian food.

This full-bodied mouth filling Shiraz is ruby-purple in colour and shows concentrated aromas of blueberry and blackberry. Juicy flavours of bramble and plum fill the palate supported by ripe tannins and black pepper spice.

Considered the black beauty of wine, Nero dAvola displays bold aromas of respberry and blueberry, finishing with chalky tannins.

Intense dark colour red with purple edge. Ripe blackberry and blueberry characters, cedar-wood and liquorice. Soft, rich, mouth coating, balanced tannin, hints of classic Cabernet and authentically Heathcote. There is a renaissance to charcoal cooking and woodfired oven cuisine. Whether it be a chargrilled sirloin, gorgeous green prawns over seriously hot charcoal or a simple woodfired margherita pizza, we are always looking for wines to match.

Matured in vats and casks for 7 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with vanillin oak, earth and spice. Juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits carry medium body weight over an earth and vanillin spice back drop. Good flesh and freshness with slightly chewy tannins and a lively dark fruited conclusion. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 14.5%

Pioneer of the Coonawarra region, John Riddoch, lends his name to the highway that dissects the famous 'terra rossa' dominated region which is home to some of Australia's premier red wine vineyards. The fruit for this evocative Shiraz is sourced from some of these vineyards and is aged in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months to develop increased complexity.
