Tintara from South Australia's McLaren Vale represents both history and innovation in McLaren Vale. Sourced from a variety of McLaren Vale vineyards, Hardys Tintara Shiraz is an outstanding representation of archetypal McLaren Vale Shiraz. On the palate, the wine is dense and intense, showing ripe plum & dark berry fruits in combination with chocolate, liquorice and tar. Evenly balanced with a plush texture, an abundance of sweet fruit flavour & fine structural tannin provides a wine of classic McLaren Vale richness with juicy bright fruit flavour.

McLaren Vale is home to some of Australia's biggest reds and here's a prize example from the bestselling 'Black Pig' - a cassis-rich Cabernet with wall-to-wall black cherry and bramble tones and a delicious lick of menthol.

McLaren Vale and Shiraz - the perfect match. Steve Maglieri is the icon behind the Serafino name and his Shiraz is a typically wonderful full-flavoured and full-bodied red with the black and red fruits you can handle. A rich and voluptuous palate with a silken, textured finish that is a perfect match to big, rich beef dishes or a robust lamb ragu.

Coriole has been the pioneer of this variety in Australia - and for good reason! Spicy dark cherry and plum flavours, the palate is perfectly balanced with dusty drying tannins.

The McLaren Vale can be considered the true home of Grenache blends here in Australia witho some of the oldest vines in the world being dry grown there. Steve Maglieri's Serafino label provides a rich and delicious GSM blend a nose of rose petal and tobacco. The palate flows on with dense coffee and cedar notes that glide across the tongue.

51% Touriga and 49% Tempranillo. Although both quite tannic varieties, winemaker Peter Leask has crafted a youthful yet surprisingly supple drop. Delicious!Deep red to crimson. Fragrant nose of violets, blackberry, mulberry, tobacco and vanilla. Ripe black and purple fruit, with a seductively plush texture, some attractive cigar box and leather complexity, and a powerful finish. Yet to show its best.

Round yet fine and detailed, this medium bodied wine is brimming with lovely fruit density. Notes of red current, cassis, black cherry, and plum lead the charge, supported by secondary notes of bay leaf, graphite, wet clay and chocolate. Starting early, tannins are savoury in nature and run long through the palate complimented by lovely accents of ash and coal dust. Dense and chewy through to the finish, this wine has excellent length.

The Hill Block straddles the ridge running through the Chapel Hill estate. The wine was then aged for 19 months in 100% tight grained French oak. The proportion of new oak was kept low to encourage the continued expression of the characters that are unique to the vineyard site.
