Coldstream Hills was established in 1985 by James and Suzanne Halliday and has always produced a benchmark cool-climate Pinot Noir. This beautifully textured wine boasts rich flavours of dark cherries, pepper and foresty notes, with a long and toasty finish.

The grapes for the wines that carry the Mt Difficulty Bannockburn label are subject to two strict criteria: they are managed under the umbrella of the Mt Difficulty viticultural team and must be sourced from vineyards situated on the South side of the Kawarau River at Bannockburn. The Winemaking: Once harvested the fruit was crushed and pressed; the juice was cold settled and racked to ferment. The ferment was carried out with selected yeast and stopped with some residual sugar. Post fermentation the wine was stabilised, clarified and bottled.
