The fruit was from a 65 year old single vineyard in McLaren Vale. Matured in French oak for 18 months, this wine is full of red fruits, tobacco, spice and fine tannins. A refreshing style with finesse.

Purple, red with violet hues. Punchy, varietal Ribena, cassis aromas with underlying herbaceous mint and tomato leaf and a hint of dusty cigar box. Vibrant, intriguing palate loaded with blackcurrant and wild berry fruit fused with fresh peppermint and silky dark chocolate, embellished with savoury black olive and nutmeg. Ample, crunchy acid and cedary, nutty oak provide a supportive backbone with both imparting structures to gracefully hold the palate together then neatly uniting with the bountiful, velvety tannin providing a lingering, dry, chalky finish. No brainer for a pink roasted leg of lamb with traditional mint sauce, BBQ'd shoulder of lamb or for the slightly more adventurous, pappardelle with hare sauce.

Selected from 65 year old McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon vines, this wine was matured in French Oak hogsheads for 2 years. Cherry & mint aromas & chocolate oak dominate the nose & carry through to the full, round palate, that finishes with soft velvety tannins. Decant wine & allow to breathe before enjoying. A lovely approachable wine from the guys at III Associates. Plum flavours drive the wine with a soft, plush mouth feel and intergrated tannins. Lovely toasty oak is also prevalent with nice blending of the Cabernet fruit.

This McLaren Vale red, with its rich blackcurrant and mint characters and fine tannin finish would make a good match with dishes such as lamb shanks or rack of lamb. If you can keep your hands off it the wine will age beautifully over the next five years or so.

This richly flavoured wine is jet black with brilliant sheen. The fresh forest berry fruits are balanced with a smokey cedar like oak lift. The palate is generous, with rich upfront cassis fruit and hints of cinnamon spice. Sublime oak flavours give great persistence.
