Gisa Adelaide Hills Piccadilly Chardonnay

For 7 years now, the fruit came from Gibbo’s Vineyard, high in the Piccadilly Valley. Located 560 meters above sea level, nights are cool and the days are fresh, making the region perfect for fruit ripening. Like the previous vintage it has all the hall marks of a great modern chardonnay. According to Halliday, it has great texture, flavour and length. There’s almost a chalkiness to the finish, but there’s plenty of stone fruit, green apple and toast flavours. Finishing with a gentle almond milk character adding that something extra.

Tomich Hill Sauvignon Blanc

Tomich Hill champion the process of handcrafting from estate grown fruit from their high altitude cool climate vineyard in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. Resulting in a Sauvignon Blanc that displays elegance, complexity and a true exhibition of variety. Opening with an intense citrus and snow pea aroma the flavorsome palate is citrus focused, with tropical fruit and a crisp and persistent finish.

Snobs Creek Estate Cordwainer Chardonnay

A Shoemaker, also known as a Cordwainer, once lived at a creek. When he passed on, the place was then named after his most important tool, Snob, the small anvil used to shape the toe end of a boot. A balanced wine, The Cordwainer is a beautifully crafted Chardonnay with bright summer fruits of melon and intense stone fruit aromas on the nose. Combine with lees contact during barrel fermentation, the acidity is well integrated with the French oak, creating a seductive delicious finish.

Mountadam Eden Valley Gewurztraminer

While gewürztraminer is naturally high in sugar, the prevailing new world style produces highly aromatic and complex wines with natural fruitiness kept in check with alcohol and acidity. The grapes used to craft The Katana Chardonnay were handpicked, chilled overnight, and whole bunch pressed. The juice was rough settled, and transferred to French oak barriques for fermentation. This process led to the creation of a pale straw coloured wine with golden yellow highlights along the edges. This wonderful Chardonnay presents a supple core of citrus blossom and white stone fruit characters, enhanced by mineral notes. The juicy palate contains flavours of bright fruits and French oak supported by crisp acidity, ending in a lively and captivating climax. This alluring white wine can be enjoyed within 5 years from vintage. Drink it with potato soup, roasted vegetable pizza, and chorizo and sweet potato risotto.
