Leasingham Classic Clare Shiraz is is sourced from the best Leasingham Clare Valley vineyards and has become a firm favourite of the discerning premium wine collector. Dense garnet colour. An intense nose of brambly fruit, crushed violets and coffee on the nose with hints of leather and mint. The palate is medium bodied with flavours of blackberries, blood plums and dark chocolate. Ripe, earthy tannins are supported by cedary oak and balanced by fine acidity and great length.

The Morrison Shiraz vineyard, for which the wine is named, is situated directly across from Kilikanoon's winery in the Clare Valley sub-region of Leasingham. The Cabernet Sauvignon with which it is blended lies on the opposite ridge, a spectacular vineyard which glistens gold in the morning sun. Basket pressed into new and seasoned French oak barrels for 16 months. It is silky and fragrant, with hints of mint and pepper and "It's in very good shape... 94pts" (Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion).

Taylors St Andrews Shiraz from the Clare Valley is a classic and is consistently a show-stopper. The bouquet shows rich plum and cherry fruit with earthy spice and the palate is perfectly balanced with soft silky tannins.

Mixed dark berry fruits on the palate, vibrant acidity and fine grain tannin lead into a long, persistent finish. Great drive and depth of flavour, a touch of earthy complexity, and a seamless structure.

In 1964 Jim Barry purchased 28ha of prime vineyard land in the Armagh district from Duncan McRae Wood. Shiraz was the first variety planted, and the McRae Wood property was the foundation of Barrys red wine production. The McRae Wood Shiraz in an unabashedly bold Clare Valley red thats big with plenty of oaky backbone. Black and red forest fruits (think cherry and plum) with a touch of vanilla and spice, its incredibly concentrated with a long, pleasing finish.
