This full-bodied and juicy red wine from the famous Spanish region Rioja is characterised by intense aromas of blackberries, plums and spice. Perfectly paired with red meats or a cheese board.

Medium-bodied with seductive flavours of blueberries, cherries and dark plums. The French oak maturation provides subtle savoury, spice characters with a pleasing soft and silky texture to the mid palate. A long, persistent finish makes this a great wine for Spanish or games dishes.

Vibrant aromas of cherry (Tempranillo), cola and earth (Monastrell), heritage rose (Grenache), violet and spice (Touriga Nacional) harmonise. A compote of red and dark summer berries is restrained and shaped by the savoury minerality and textured fruit tannins of this layered and complex medium-bodied wine. The Bio Project represents Shinglebacks ongoing commitment to undertaking native revegetation within our vineyards. The plants were carefully selected to provide benefits to the vineyard by specifically attracting beneficial insects and native birds, improve water quality and restore some of McLaren Vales biodiversity. Upon much deliberation, our overall masked winner revealed a style and character that provided us with a fairly clear cut insight into the modern day advances of a region etched in history and tradition. Cosme Palacio consistently produces one of our favourite Riojas that always offers incredible value for money. Produced predominantly from Tempranillo grown in cool, relatively high altitude sites, this is modern Rioja that's bright and ready to go thanks to a touch of bottle age. It's medium bodied with fine tannins and juicy in the mouth. Black fruits dominate the flavour profile with some delicate cedar and earthy notes adding complexity to a delicious example from this much loved region.

Viña Real dates back to 1920, specialising in the smallest and northernmost sub-region of Rioja, Rioja Alavesa. The winery's name was inspired by the proximity of its vineyards to the 16th century Camino Real road. A blend of 90% Tempranillo, and 10% Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano. Freshness and purity of fruit are the key attributes of this wine, with 13-14 months' barrel ageing providing subtle, complex notes of tobacco, toast, and spice.

Running with Bulls Barossa Tempranillo is deep crimson in colour with alluring and evolving aromas. Opening with blueberries, black cherry and cocoa powder the aromas lead to hints of tobacco leaf, Sichuan pepper and rose water. Redcurrants and blueberries are prominent on the palate, with a creamy plush mid palate that finishes with fine dark chocolate tannins.
