Riddoch The Representative Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot

This collection of wines pays tribute to one man's multifaceted capabilities, reflected by the ultimate expression of Coonawarra's diversity through single vineyard wines and interesting winemaking techniques. John Riddoch MHA, who entered South Australias parliament (1865) as the South-Easts representative, founded the Coonawarra region (1890) with the aspiration of making the finest wine in the country. This gold medal winning Cabernet Merlot offers cassis redcurrant spice aromas, fine chalky tannins and generous flavours define this expressive 2019 Cabernet Merlot. Aged in new-and-seasoned French and American oak for around 12 months, the wine is supple with gentle vigour. Drink now or may be cellared.

Fruit for this wine comes entirely from our ‘Abbey’ estate vineyard at the Parker Cellar Door, specifically the ‘95 Block’.
