Each vintage Wynns select a premium parcel from a single vineyard to bottle separately. This year the selection is from the Glengyle vineyard, creating a true wine of stature. The flavours a beautifully fresh, echoing crunchy red berries and intriguing gentle florals. This wine is finely polished and focused in structure, with great persistence and intensity giving the impression of a wine that is layered, flowing and building all at once. Wynns Michael Shiraz is a 'best-of-vintage' Shiraz from Wynns vineyard sites in Coonawarra and is named after David Wynn's youngest son. Made in the years that best show Coonawarra's unique terroir, this latest release displays the qualities that have made the 'Michael' one of the most highly regarded of all Australian Shiraz with aromas of red currants, cherries and raspberry that mesh every so well with the olive and white spice characters. The palate follows with an elegant structure bursting with dark brooding spice and succulent ripe tannins.

Made from the most distinguished grapes on the Parker Estate. A beautiful blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Merlot.

Katnook is a beacon for quality in Coonawarra for many a decade. Their Cabernet is their flagship that has a rich and elegant bouquet with aromas of cedary blackcurrant. Supported by well integrated toasty oak while the palate shows long fine varietal flavours.

The Woodlands Margaret is, true to its name, a realisation of all that is great about Margaret River, arguably Australias home of the Bordeaux style. Sourced from the Woodlands Vineyards in Wilyabrup this is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 8% Malbec. Considering the price of the Watson familys flagship, the Margaret offers truly outstanding value.

This wine shows the style of the vintage and quite likely the impact of the small crop. In such years, Cabernet Sauvignon in particular, has a complex but somewhat subdued nose, where the wine hints of the underlying power and complexity but takes years to reveal its true colours. So here we see smouldering red currant, black currant and mulberry, with a floral, violet lift, sitting over cedar and tar. On the palate there is concentration and length - dark fruits combining with firm tannin and leather and tarry notes.

Nightfall wines are the epitome of luxury, style and exclusivity. Crafted from a pristine single vineyard site in the heart of Coonawarra. Dense dark purple colour in colour, with a classic Coonawarra bouquet of black current, cherry and sweet vanilla oak characters. The palate demonstrates a classic ‘dry red’ style with rich midpalate fruit and density, balanced with fine Cabernet tannins and length.
