Bright medium red with purple hue in colour; On the nose: pronounced Blackcurrant, crushed wet leaves and dark plums, bouquet of wild violet and a decent amount of almost wet tobacco oak. A full bodied wine that has great length on the palate with firm but refined tannins. Simply outstanding in its class.

Penfolds St Henri is one of Australia's greatest red wines. The Shiraz for St Henri is selected for subtlety and elegance and the finished wine has the structure complexity for extended bottle maturation. The 1991 is a classic St Henri vintage that is good to drink until 2022.

Jasper Hills Emilys Paddock is mostly shiraz - with a defining splash of cabernet franc. A lot has been made over the years of the terroir difference between Jasper Hill Emilys and Georgias, but its the cabernet franc that really differentiates them.
