Domaine de Chevalier uses traditional methods when making their flavoursome white blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Fermentation occurs in oak casks and is then aged for 18th in oak, some of which is new. This practice was abandoned by many in Graves, only to be (rightfully) regenerated to allow wines of substance and character to be produced once again. Chevalier's Blanc is a wine that is taut and restrained that opens up over a six to eight year period to reveal a wine of supreme delicacy.

Starting with the 2016 vintage, Hubert de Boüard-de-Laforêt, winegrower since 1956, co-owner of Château Angelus - Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Oenologist consultant in more than 80 properties around the world, is producing a range of varietals grown on his own plots and labelled under his own name. This innovative project aims to set the level of each varietal to a new high standard.Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this superbly expressive wine has been vinified and matured in barrel for a total length of 11 months. A blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon from Chateau Cos d''Estournel, the landmark producer from Medoc. Sourced from their vineyards in the south of St-Estephe, this detailed and gloriously textured white wine displays the complexities requisite of cellarable Bordeaux blanc wines. The wine is drinkable immediately, but will also reward those considering some mellowing and honeyed complexity that comes with cellaring.
