With one of the longest and most pedigreed histories in the Medoc region, Chateau Leoville-Las-Cases has passed through the hands of some of Frances most notable and wealthiest noble families. Today, the estate is family owned by the Delons, of which brother Jean Hubert and sister Genevieve manage proceedings. Their second wine, Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases, is a relative newcomer, only having been released for the first time in 2009.

Plenty of cabernet character with currant and blackberry and some fresh-herb undertones. Medium body. Fine, firm tannins. Refined and together. CHATEAU DE PEZ ST ESTEPHE 750M

The Chateau Les Ormes De Pez is an evocative Saint-Estephe blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Age will be kind to this Bordeaux, allowing the palate to round and develop. A touch of sweetness on the nose meets with rich cassis, herbs, and liquorice. On the palate, you will taste candied violets and juicy blackberry, with grippy tannings and a refreshing line of acid. A full-bodied Bordeaux from one of the top value chateau of Saint-Estephe, it finishes long and lingering.

Chateau Lafite

The 1979 vintage of Château Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac, Bordeaux is a true testament to the quality and prestige of this iconic château. Upon pouring, the wine presents a deep ruby red colour, with hints of garnet on the rim, indicating its age and maturity. On the nose, the aromas are intense and complex, with notes of red and black fruits, such as blackcurrant, cherry and plum, intertwined with subtle hints of cedar, tobacco and leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and elegant, with a silky texture and well-integrated tannins. The fruit flavours are still vibrant, complemented by flavours of spice and earth, leading to a long, lingering finish. This 1979 vintage of Château Lafite is a truly exceptional wine that has aged gracefully and offers a unique taste of the history and terroir of Pauillac, Bordeaux.
