ISABEL ESTATE VINEYARD Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough

The bouquet is pure and expressive showing vibrant passionfruit, tropical fruit and grapefruit aromas, with underlying blackcurrant leaf and herbal notes. The palate is concentrated and elegant, with fruit flavours that are consistent with the nose; grapefruit, mango and herbal. A lively acidity and mineral drive, provide the wine with exceptional concentration and length.

Vibrant passionfruit and tropical notes make this white a treat to drink. Made up of fruit from selected vineyards, this Babich white is a very refreshing wine with plenty to offer.

An abundance of crushed fresh herbs and tomato leaf aromas that mingle with subtle notes of gooseberry, fennel and nettle. Dry and salty to taste, persistent flavours of lime and greengage plum are revealed alongside mouthwatering acidity. The fleshy palate has a lovely creamy texture and a bright juicy finish.

The 2018 Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc displays intense lifted aromas of citrus peel, blackcurrant buds and fresh herbs. The palate introduces a delightful lime/citrus based mouth-watering intensity and finishes with a strong textural component. The fruit was machine harvested at night or in the cool of the morning, gently crushed and pressed then fermented with a variety of aromatic yeast strains in stainless steel tanks - the sole aim being to reflect and preserve the flavours and aromas grown in the vineyard. 10% of the juice fermentations were started with a non-saccharomyces yeast and 3% of the blend was barrel fermented. After fermentation, the wine was kept in contact with the lees for five months. This classic technique enhances creaminess and integrates flavours.

Anna and Jason Flowerday run the Te Whare Ra vineyard in Marlborough according to organic and bio dynamic practices. The fruit is picked and sorted by hand, then processed in a winery especially designed for small-batch wine making. On the nose, this Sauvignon has characters of elderflower and white currant with ripe tropical and citrus fruits. These follow on the palate, which is fine and soft with vibrant, fleshy fruit, balanced by ripe, juicy acidity and lingering minerality.
